Custom Pickups – Made in Italy

String Spacing

Measure the string spacing with a caliper or a ruler on your instrument and match it with the closest dimension available on our online shop.

Usually for Floyd Rose™ style bridge 52,5 mm is needed for bridge pickup.

We kindly suggest to measure anyway your exact string spacing to have a perfect match with your instrument.

For electric guitars the dimension used is the space beetween the high E string and the low E string.

Check above the line of the polar extension (for humbucker and p90) or the magnets (for single coil) of each bobbin.

Then the average choice of the two should work fine.

For bass guitar instead the dimension is beetween each pair of strings.

You may find different measurements but it’s usually due to the compensation of the string thickness.

Custom string spacing

We offer for all our creations the possibility to customize the string spacing of the poles to match the exact string spacing of the instrument.

For a replacement on a standard 6 string Strat guitar or on a multiscale bass guitar the accurate placement of the pole and the magnet beneath the string actually helps to avoid any loose of sound or volume.

Our single coil standard set are available in 2 different string spacing (50 and 52 mm) and fits most of the bridge and standard  string spacing.

Though as you can see from the picture the neck pickup on the standard configuration is really affected by the average string spacing choice.

Of course we’re talking about little differences, but they’re in fact affecting the tone with all the other components of the pickup to the final sound.
