BERT HANDS

Marco Pinto cultivated a passion for music from young age and began playing the electric guitar at the age of 14, trying to learn how the instrument works in every single part of it.

Having completed his studies at the Artistic High School of Villa Reale in Monza (MB), he enrolled in the amateur course at the “Civica Scuola di Liuteria) in Milan for the construction of a classical guitar.

Aware of having found his path, he successfully attended the Luthier Operator and then Master Luthier” classes, completing the training course at the “Civica Scuola di Litueria” in Milan with the training at the “Jacaranda Guitars and Basses”  workshop of Milan in 2015.

He remains in contact and in close relationship with Alessio, having shared 4 years of training with him.

He continued his work and training experience in Daniele Fierro’s workshop until 2017, specializing himself in the repair and construction of electrical instruments.

Also in 2017 he began a new collaboration, working together with Marco Albanese at Loud Guitars in Pieve Emanuele (MI) where he deepened and enriched his knowledge.

In 2020 he opened his luthier workshop, Pinto Guitars, in Arcore (MB), where he currently builds and repairs plucked instruments.

With the desire to use quality pickups on his instruments, Marco, in 2021, asks Alessio to start developing together a product that lives up to expectations. After the initial positive feedback and continued interest from the public in the pickups developed for the Pinto models,

Alessio and Marco decide to undertake together the development and creation of handcrafted pickups for musical instruments.

Thus was born in 2022, Alma Pickups, a brand through which the two Master Luthiers offer their knowledge and experience at the service of every musician.
